modern villa
Alkmaar (NL)
After architect Luc Trigallez created the initial sketches, this residential project in Alkmaar was further developed and realized by RAAD Architects. The result is this stunning pavilion-like home with a swimming pool. The renovation of this Alkmaar home even more beautiful because the villa blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings.
If you look closely at the pictures, you can see that the facing bricks are glued to the underside. These glued-on cladding strips are combined with wood and are rich in detail. Such a combination requires perfect coordination. If you fail to do this properly, it can result in a complete project failure. By devoting considerable care and attention to the design, including the technical details, the project was ultimately very successful.
Narrow, long-format facing bricks were chosen for the facade, the chimney, and parts of the interior.
